lately there’s been no making of anything other than food (which is often created after dark when good photos are hard to produce). tomorrow’s my last day at work so i hope to create something new soon.

food made: raw beet and carrot salad, eggplant stirfry, broccoli and tofu in hoisin sauce, salad, roasted red pepper hummus, celery soup, i can’t remember any more. this was an uninspired week.
yesterday we were tired from 4 hours at the long beach flea market, working a box sorting shift at the laev food lobby and household chores and with no movies to watch and no internet. after messing around on the ukulele and djembe drum for a while (and figuring it was time to stop torturing the neighbors), we decided to break out the board game and the homebrew. los angeles scene (1977) is hilarious fun if you like monopoly and los angeles history. and the beer (a dunkelweiss) was delish.

edit: this is what I made with this bounty- yellow gazpacho, baba ghanouj, roasted carrots, salad, spinach and zucchini frittata, sauteed peppers (for sausage), roasted cabbage w/ bacon fat, and stir fried green beans
